Booking & Payment

 

  • A booking is not final until Sugarloaf Adventures has received a deposit or other another agreement is come to.

  • Until a booking has been confirmed by Sugarloaf Adventures all bookings are regarded as provisional.

  • A deposit of up to 30% can be asked for upon booking. Deposits are non-refundable but may, at the discretion of the company directors, be transferable to another date or product.

  • The balance is due 24 hours before the hike or with prior arrangement with Sugarloaf Adventures may be paid on the day.

  • Payment options – cash is king and easiest way for everyone to pay.  However payment by credit card/paypal/realex is also welcome! For corporate by EFT can also be facilitated/agreed beforehand.

  • Any bookings not confirmed within the 7 days before the hike may be re-sold without notice, and the initial deposit forfeited.

Cancellations, Refunds & Conditions.
 

 Cancellations & Refunds:

  • Cancellations made from 7 to 14 days in advance of the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 50%  of the total cost of the booking (1 to 7 days incur a cancellation fee of 75% of the total cost of the

  • booking, cancellations made within 24hrs of the start date will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost of the booking..

  • No refunds will be offered which arise from circumstances that are beyond the control of Sugarloaf Adventures. If a session/course has to be cancelled due to there being fewer than the required number of participants for the activity required, or due to adverse weather or sea conditions then Sugarloaf Adventures retains the right to offer alternative activities or to transfer the booking to another date.

  • Any cancellations must be notified by email to info@sugarloafadventures.ie and will be effective from the date of receipt.

 

Conditions:

  • All activity sessions are staffed by appropriate qualified Instructors. Whilst every reasonable attempt will be made to deliver all Sugarloaf Adventures,  Sugarloaf Adventures reserves the right to cancel or modify any session due to safety requirements, weather conditions or factors beyond our control.

Liability, Insurance & Health & Safety.
 
  • Sugarloaf Adventures holds public liability cover.

  • Sugarloaf Adventures provide activities, which can be potentially dangerous. All participants must be aware of this and accept the risks associated with the chosen activity. Sugarloaf Adventures has an excellent safety record; however responsibility for injury or illness arising from any of the activities cannot be accepted.

  • All participants must be over 18 years old unless participation is approved by their legal guardian.

  • Sugarloaf Adventures recommend that all Participants take out / hold appropriate, Personal Accident and travel Insurance cover, covering participation in all adventure activities being undertaken.

  • Due to the nature of some of the activities at Sugarloaf Adventures all participants should be physically fit. Anyone with a medical condition must seek medical advice before considering participating.

  • Participants will not be permitted to consume alcohol or drugs prior to or during the activity sessions. Instructor’s/Guides reserves the right to refuse participation to anyone considered to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Instructors/Guides may require any participant to leave the hike without compensation if that person acts in such a manner as to endanger him/herself or any other Sugarloaf Adventure user/ staff.

  • Sugarloaf Adventures must be informed of any medical condition (asthma, epilepsy, etc.) or any other special needs which may impair the individual’s participation in a Sugarloaf Adventure.

 

  And finally - Clothing & Conditions of Service.

 

  It is recommended by Sugarloaf Adventures that all hikers/hillwalkers wear suitable footwear (hiking boots if

  possible) trousers (preferably not jeans), rain trousers and jacket, spare socks, warm fleece, hat and gloves (yes even

  in the Irish summer it is best to be prepared).  If possible bring a backpack to carry your lunch and no harm popping

  in some sunscreen and repellent just in case!

  Any personal medication required (please inform your instructor on the day in this eventuality).

  As part of the continual review of safety and associated considerations, the conditions of booking are subject to

  change, clarification and modification at any time. Only the Owner is empowered to vary or waive any of the

  conditions of booking.
